Team

A German-South African consortium

Two research institutes and five companies from Germany, together with 7 partners from South Africa, will develop a new concept for water and energy management in structurally weak rural and/or densely populated areas in developing and emerging countries.

The part of RSA is financed by the Department of Science and Technology.

Africa Strategy of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)

Creating prospects for EcoSUN through Education and Training

German-African partnerships in education, science and research was established decades ago, e.g. with democratic South Africa immediately after the political changes in the early 90th. The focus lies on regional as well as global challenges that are particularly critical for African countries. These include environmental and climate-related issues, health care provision, and meeting rising food and energy demands. read more
